Family Trip down south produced a few sightings as follows:

12 August 2010
Crockford Bridge area, New Forest
Redstart, raven, buzzards
One of my favourite invertebrate spots with the following all noted: southern damselfly, beautiful demoiselle, small red damselfly, golden ringed dragonfly, common hawker, keeled skimmer, grayling and silver-washed fritillary. Wood crickets also very vocal.

13 August 2010
Brownsea Island, Dorset
Spoonbill 6, Siskin 10, Avocet 40, Spotted redshank 1, Black-tailed godwit 500.
Also 2 red squirrels, 2 sika deer, silver-washed fritillary and several common lizards.

Cheers
Brian
