This afternoon saw nine cracking specimens within fifty yards of each other on the yellow Buddleah's both in the car park and on the path towards Grebe Lake at MSQ. Not seen this amount for a few years. Also saw two Comma on the Buddleah one of which had most of one wing missing. Had four Speckled Wood as well.

Kind regards

John :D

I thought yesterdays total of 9 Red Admiral at MSQ was good but my total today also at MSQ far exceeded that. On the three yellow Buddleah next to seat in car park there were 16 and the one leading to Grebe Lake had 7, I've never seen 23 in one go! All of them were cracking specimens!

Also seen on local patch were:

MSQ pm: Comma - 2, Speckled Wood - 2, Peacock - 1.

Laughton pm: Brimstone - 1, Speckled Wood - 4, Comma - 1.

Keb Wood pm: Speckled Wood - 3.

Black Bank am: c12 whites

Regards

John

MSQ: 15.30 - 15.50

Red Admiral - 22
Speckled Wood - 2
Comma - 7
Brimstone - 1
Small Tortoiseshell - 2

All but the Copper were on the yellow and light blue buddleah in or close to the car park.
