Sandilands 07:45 - 14:00 3 observers looking hard with scopes all 6 1/4 hours
Bonxie c15
Arctic Skua c12
No Poms
No definite LOng-tails but a few birds too distant to ID in fact all skuas were distant
No shearwaters at all
No Petrels
3 Guillemots
6 G C Grebes
2 R B Mergs
Gannet in view all the time 500+ probably a lot more
Common Tern 1
Sandwich Tern 2
Barnacle Goose 5 north
Purple Sand 1
Snipe 14 in off
R T Diver 9 south
B T Diver 1 south
C Scoter Pintail Teal Wigeon et al north
Pink Feet 170 south
Kittibines Gull only 7
usually no birds over the sea at all apart from Gannets
Mipits coming in
In effect a waste of mileage and a days birding --give me western Ireland any day!
