I will be doing a Hen Harrier Roost survey again this winter and the Hawk and Owl Trust who run the survey are asking for casual Harrier sightings as well. This may lead to old sites that have been abandoned in the past or possibly the discovery of new roost sites.
Details required are date, location, grid ref, species, sex, age, number of birds and any notes on behaviour (eg hunting, roosting etc)
Can I ask that all Harrier sightings (particularly Hen Harrier) are posted on the LBC website or sent to me direct at
nigelound@btinternet.com please?
