A posse of four Bearded Tits trapped at Marston on 15/11/2010 bring the list of birds ringed at Marston up to 100 - a good result for an inland site. A Water Rail and retrapped Belgian-ringed Dunnock were other highlights of the day.

Anglian Water, with some advice from the bird club, have created an excellent site at Marston , the only problem is that the vegetation is now too long for waders in the autumn.

A very exciting day!

I agree with the comments about the vegetation. Although I have not been a Marston visitor for long I have certainly noticed the decline in species and numbers of waders in autumn in the last couple of years. I realise that this is a very short time in the scheme of things but it could be an indicator of habitat change.
