1100hrs. on thurs 9/12
Small flock of 8 pink-footed geese feeding on mustard game plot close to the R. Bain.
This is the first record I have had of pinkfeet alighting and feeding in Baumber. They are usually seen in skeins on passage to and from the Wash. A good roving winter record for TF27!
Also of note that Brambling numbers have been increasing on the farm during the hard weather and there are now quite sizeable numbers on the wild bird cover crops.
