Further to web discussions with Andrew, I have produced and now posted on the LBC Bird Chat section a much trimmed down version of my Waxwing article ( 7,500 words to 1,250 or so ). In that trimmed format it is of a more suitable length for possible inclusion in the LBC 2010 Bird Report.

Terry,
Thanks for your positive and appreciative comments. To be honest, I thought the first comments might well be along the lines (more or less) of :

" Not another bleedin' Waxwing article from that hyperactive Waxwing guy - hasn't he got something better to do with his time ? Any second(ary) now he'll have red wax tips coming out of his ruddy ears." Anyway, I was wrong. :D Thanks, Terry. :)

PS.Professor W.C.Harrison OBE, (" Flush Harry"), former Director of the Boothby Graffoe-Mavis Enderby Avifaunal Institute Lincoln retired to Cornwall some time ago and has recently been joined by his old friend Corporal ( Retired) Jon Freddison of Braceheath Bridge, but I have been unable to contact either of them recently, especially as most of the local pubs stay open all day now and half the night.
