Whilst gathering the harvest today, in the skies above were:
3x Buzzard,
4x Kestrel,
1x Sparrowhawk,
1x Peregrine,
1x Marsh Harrier.
Its hard to drive straight when you're looking up... :D

........and there was I innocently thinking that aliens were responsible for Crop Circles, not birdwatching farmers. Obviously, George, unlike last March, I shall have to be very careful about who I sit next to at future AGMs :wink:

Apart from that, you must be very pleased to have such a concentration of raptors over the farm. Presumably, you also get the occasional wandering Red Kite, and perhaps even a winter Merlin has visited you.

Good luck with the Harvest while this sunny weather lasts. :D

Hi Freddy,
I like the idea of the reason behind crop circles, i think red kite and merlin would be new for the farm, but there is all 3 commoner species of owl and at the moment plenty of yellow wagtail feeding around the cattle..
