All's well that ends well and it really is astonishing to learn that the 'trial' diverters are already in place within only 2 weeks or so of their being initially recommended - ( 5 December ). :D

Members of the LBC Forum said, " Let there be light (at night). " ......... And there was light (at night). Hopefully, these luminescent flight diverters as an aid to DECREASE bird wire-strikes will prove to be effective and will then become common fixtures across Lincolnshire (and beyond) both in Reserves and in other appropriate areas.

The diverters that have been used are even better than expected as they contain both reflective and glow in the dark properties. Like the ones in this link. http://www.pr-tech.com/bird-diverters/firefly-hw.php

Another Swan hit the wires tonight and a few other come really close, while I was watching them come in to the pits, making 3 dead since the new diverters were put up. I suspect the problem is the birds poor eyesight. I am not sure what else can be done.
