Can I make a particular appeal for volunteers to the BTO's Breeding Bird Survey in South Lincolnshire?

Taking part in the BBS is the best way to improve your birding skills, if you're not sure of some bird songs or calls, you soon will be when you've done a few surveys. If you did any Timed Tetrad Visits for the Atlas then you will easily be able to do a Breeding Bird Survey.

Breeding Bird Surveys are done online with all your results easy to see year by year. Your survey work (and thousands of other people's) builds up to to a comprehensive picture of the fortunes of our breeding birds year by year. For more information look at the website www.bto.org/bbs

If you think you might be able to take on a site in South Lincolnshire, contact me on hdorrington@btconnect.com

This is just to let anyone who can't make the Far Ings training date in January know, that we are putting on a further event at Sea View on the Saltfleetby/Theddlethorpe NNR on 24 March. Thanks to Peter Roworth for making the English Nature facilities available.

Anyone who would like to take part please contact me on philespin@live.co.uk

Do you have to have your own transport?

Hi Katherine. The best we can do is that if someone near to you is coming on the course, we can try and get you a lift. Unfortunately that is not the case at the moment but I will let you know if that changes.
