This is my first input into LBC as a new member. For info., I've been doing the Saltfleet sector WeBS for the past 35+ years and before that, when I lived in Kirton, I did the previous scheme inputs for Kirton Marsh for a few years as well.

Saltfleet sector WeBS 23/06/12:
Shelduck 4, Common Scoter 35>S, Manx Shearwater 1>S, Commic Tern 2, Sandwhich Tern 19 (flew south when disturbed and picked up by JW at Theddlethorpe), Gannet 4 sub-adults>N, R. Plover 4, Curlew 5, Redshank 7, L. Egret 2, C Gull 5, Herring Gull 37, BH Gull 8, GBB Gull 6, LBB Gull 1, Cormorant 2.

Everyone has said it - great to have a respected, time served ornithologist adding his records to the Forum.

Many thanks for nice comments. Just heard of a comment from a friend asking ''What's happened to all those guys from the Cleethorpes Ringing Group, the most antisocial people in Lincolnshire?"...Just put it down to old age, we all have to mellow some time!

Clearly I will have to make a positive input to make up for lost time.

Regards, Cliff Morrison
