Had a choice of rarities a Little Swift in Cheshire or a Pacific Golden Plover at Cley In the end decided on Cley as the prospect of the supporting cast was more appealing if the stars failed to show Was at Cley shortly after 06:00 this morning despite some fog in Norfolk The plover showed well from the north scrape which is the one nearest the sea. Park at the beach car-park Also on show was a Sacred Ibis (I wonder if this is the same one I saw over Thurlby a few weeks ago) Bearded Tit showed well at times 4 Spoonbill and 1 at Titchwell At least 4 Marsh Harriers Spotted Redshank with another 6 at Titchwell Cettis Warblers 2 with another one by the visitor centre at Titchwell Little Gull at both reserves 8 Gannets and an excellent selection of waders over the two reserves Both Bar & Black Tailed Godwits Dunlin Knot 1000 Avocet inevitably Ringed & Little Ringed Plover Curlew Redshank All in all it was a good day with one lifer and two new birds for the year
