The Scrapes Area Wetland Creation Project
Please be aware, due to major conservation enhancement works in the above area, a length of teh visitor route will be periodically diverted between the dates - 22nd August to the 15th September 2012.
The improvement works being undertaken will include:
excavation and deepening of existing Scrapes area
installation of new sluices with eel passes
creation of new islands in Target Lake
removal of the two old scrapes hides
construction of a new raised bird hide with all-round vision and ramp access
this project is being supported by: BIFFA, the Environment Agency, North East Lindsey Drainage Board and Natural England.
I hope you appreciate that the short term disturbance will be worth it.
