Couldn't resist another trip to Gibraltar Point again today. Arrived at first light on a very gloomy morning. 50 yards visibility first thing and again at the end of the day. It did lift somewhat around mid-day but not for long. Did go down to the beach at Mill Hill but couldn't see the sea. It was evident driving the last mile of the trip down from Skegness to the North car park that there were lots of birds about On leaving the car birds were everywhere. The greatest difficulty was in seeing them because of the fog and then estimating the numbers of what could be seen. Apparently there were far more birds yesterday but nevertheless the numbers were impressive I was chuffed in seeing two ring ouzels but was brought back to Earth by John Shaughnessey who saw an impressive twelve!
