Todays Sightings:

Waxwing 3 (Around West Dunes/Plantation area) Probably same birds as yesterday
Blackbird 500+
Bullfinch 1 (South)
Woodcock 2 (Flushed from West Dunes)
Whooper Swan 24 (South)
Barn Owl 2
Siskin 100+ (South)
Chiffchaff 1
Hen Harrier 1 (Adult Male)
Brambling 42 (South) There has been really good movements of Brambling in the past week or so, i've recorded a total of 274 at Gib Pt since the 1st November (1st 50, 2nd 45, 3rd 38, 4th 69, 5th 30, and todays 42) All birds flying south.
Comparing the above Brambling numbers with last winter where I only recorded 24 from Oct-Dec 2011!

Cheers,

Richard

Amazing to watch all the groups of blackbirds moving west across the Freshwater Marsh having just arrived.

Also, yesterday, 4-7 water pipits, ad Med Gull, 2 bearded tits per JPS
