Hi Phil,
I saw 4 waxwings drinking on a small pool ( just before hump bridge on right hand side ) on 30/12 at about 2.30pm. Is that near Lills hut?

Lill's Hut is the small brick building accessed by walking south past the field station, so its about 300m. The flock I had at 11.40 whistled straight through without stopping. I would guess you saw additional birds
