Snow Bunting A brief visit during the early afternoon produced a small group of 9 flying over the CP near the visitor centre followed by an abrupt descent skim a few metres before settling. Flying off again did not give me much time to scan them in detail but two birds had white under-parts and a large amount of white in the wings and tail which suggests adult males. The remaining 7 appeared to have white much more obscurred by rusty brown on head/chest with a warm brown mottled back and may well have been 1st year birds/females.

A great start to 2013

Kind regards

George
