Finished 2012 on 226 birds without twitching of which 179 were seen in Lincolnshire. Notable omission was Brambling which ironically, I saw yesterday(January 1 2013).

First bird of 2013 was a Barn Owl seen at 2.30 am when walking home from New Year celebrations (hic!) in the village.

I finshed my first attepmt at year listing on 209. I started the year on 199 for my life so 209 in one year was an achievement, all down to learning to drive.

I only twitched outside of Lincs twice (Roller and Desert Wheater) 183 in Lincs

My commenest bird missed was Little Ringed Plover!

year list off 287, not bad to say didn't do any birding really from very early november due to my operation. birds missing, no shore lark, laplands, richards pips, pecs, buff breast, r,b shrike, pallases warb, lesser peck, etc but went on a lot of birding hols. toured scotland outer hebs, few days porland area, south wales, new forest, etc. best year list for 5 years. :D :D
