Walk around woodhall with Gill 13 waxwings eating haws on horncastle road about number 108, at 1300-1400,15 minutes later 14 waxwings on sandy lane in oak tree next to haw bushes, probably same birds, and may be same as r.a.f coningsby birds on the 10/01/2013 john wheldon

c30 there this morning at 10:30, mostly feeding on privet. Not much left.

Still need them for my patch - these are about 300m beyond the boundary!

Hi Robert,
To attract them to your "patch", try this.......cut up some red apples into 10p coin size pieces, find a branch (with bare twigs) about 10ft tall, place the branch securely in a tub, place in a conspicuous part of the garden and put loads of apples on twigs.
With the impending cold snap it may just work !
