Highlights in my small town garden today were:-
Siskins 3
Longtailed Tits 3
This is the first year we have seen both species in our garden, possibly because of the constant availability of feeders,
ie. fatball, peanut, nyger seed, etc. with cover available close in and shrub conifers and deciduous trees nearby ?
First appearance for Siskins was on the 14/2/13 with regular visits of up to three birds at a time.
For Longtailed Tits they first appeared on the 14/1/13 with a maximum of up to nine at any point.
