A large swirling flock of c400+ Starling over Chapel-st-leonards village last night at 7:30pm.

similar number in Theddlethorpe George and another c 300 at Mablethorpe north end , all awaiting favourable conditions to return to eastern Europe or Russia i assume, possibly tonight as its clear and the winds have eased to f2..

At 19 15hrs last evening a clear sky and E f2 to 3 i watched 28 lapwings circling gaining height then making slow progress
eastwards over the beach, about 10 minutes later a flock of c 300 starlings went over eastwards
( making good speed)
