Down on the farm at Pleasure Island at about 6.30pm, I noticed a couple of mistle thrushes on the grass.... then a couple more... then some more!! I counted 10 in one small area, but could hear others churring from the other side of the barn out of sight.

Is it unusual to see this many in one place? I'm happy when I see one thrush, but to see 10 in one go was a real treat.

Edit: They didn't appear to be feeding or moving about as a flock. They seemed to be acting in more of a territorial way.... But I'm not a bird whisperer, so I could be wrong!
