Today's Highlights:

The highlight of the day undoubtedly was a Hawfinch picked up by Kev Wilson flying south over the West Dunes, thanks to his phone call, I then tracked its movements from the visitor centre, it flew into the plantation with 200 Redwings. A long-awaited gib tick for me!
Black Redstart 1 (Visitor Centre)
Ring Ouzel 2
Jay 1 (flying around, not going in any particular direction)
Swallow 3 (south)
Sand Martin 6 (south)
Redwing 3000 (south)
Fieldfare 6 (south)
Blackbird (100+)
Brambling 1 (south)
Chaffinch 153 (south)
Siskin 41 (south)
Willow Warbler 2
Chiffchaff 6
Green Sandpiper 1
Water Rail 1
Goldeneye 5
Avocet 30
LRP 3
Buzzard 2
Golden Plover 200 (in their summer finery)
Woodcock 1
Yellowhammer 2 (singing males)

Lets see what tomorrow brings!

Cheers,

Richard (Synchronised visible migration counts with Kev Wilson, above finch counts additional to Kevs)

The Redwing movements were incredible this morning most of them had moved through by 08:30!!! They started to fly through around 06:45 going through in flocks of hundreds, one flock involving 500 birds!!!
A flock of 250 flew into roost in the plantation this evening.
