I don't profess to be an expert on moths, but yesterday i found a cracking example of a Least-black Arches at Messingham Sand Quarries and wondered about the status of this moth in Linc's.It states it as a 'Local' species in the southern half of England, but less common as you move north through the country.A couple of photos can be seen on my blog @ http://www.juncea.blogspot.com .

Regards,

Steve.

Hi Stephen, Least Black Arches is not that un-common in Lincolnshire I have trapped it in most years with 5 this year.

But like most moth species numbers are dwindling, in my opinion mainly due to climate change.
