The Spoonbill was still showing nicely on the wet grassland at 8pm this evening and was colour-ringed. Two dullish green rings above the knee on left leg with a dark grey ring inbetween. Another dull green ring on the right leg over a much more lurid yellowy/orange ring, both above the knee as well.

I wonder if this was the same bird reported at Gib earlier today too? One can only presume that it is!

Now four Temminck's today from East Hide apparently, also Spoonbill, two Little Gulls and Wood Sandpiper.

Hi Daniel,

I saw a picture taken of the Gib Spoonbill at distance and from what I could make out this does sound like the same bird.

Thanks Rob. :-D

For the record, the Spoonbill was still on the scrapes (North Scrape, to be precise) at about 8:15 last night.

Was still there at 2pm today, at least.
