Various agencies are reporting some good birds at Gibraltar Point today
These include bluethroat, pomerine skua, great skua, black-throated & red throated divers, puffin, arctic tern, red-breasted merganser, spotted flycatchers and various other goodies. Lets hope that the finders report these on this forum because members don't get a rounded view of what is passing through the county. I note lots of comments of it being a poorish spring - but is it? - just look at that list and some of the good birds that are about at the moment or have been seen in the last month

Hi Chris,

The Bluethroat was found by Martin Moorby a visiting birder from Leicestershire. Unfortunately it wasn't seen again despite Kev Wilson and Nigel Lounds best efforts of trying to relocate it!

The other seawatching bits were from 07:15 - 10:00 yesterday morning.

I've sustained an injury to my ankle tendon/ligament damage, so I haven't been able to walk for the past few days, absolutely gutted about what I've been missing.

Richard

Hope you are soon up and about Richard but the positive is you don't have to venture out into the May winter weather
