Finnaly some good spring birds for Lincolnshire !! Well done to all involved in hours of time put in all along the Lincs coast, it's not easy birding. But there's always something to be found

Up to 09.30 this morning:

Female RB Shrike still in the hollow next to The Hump
Crossbill 2, Sykes' Farm
Grasshopper warbler, reeling briefly in the west dunes
Cuckoo 2+
Turtle Dove 1 male purring near north car park
Marsh Harrier and Barn Owl hunting nr the field station

No sign so far of the Greenish Warbler, but pretty cold first thing.

The shrike is best looked for from the Visitor Centre Car Park ratrher than going into the enclosue and along the ridge.

The bird had returned to the hollow and showed quite well from the car park at 11 am once everyone had backed off

total of 13 turtle dove and 10 jay for the day and a peregrine hunting wader flocks including 350 grey plover, 200 barwit etc
