For the first time in about 8 or 9 years we heard a Cuckoo in the woods on Heighington Road, Canwick at 8.05 this morning, 2nd June.

My first of the year (hoping for more!) at Neville Wood and Bottom Barff Wood, Nocton on evening 1st June. I have not heard one yet in the Woodhall area, despite cycling to Bardney and back and Horncastle and back in recent days.

Single Cuckoo perched on telephone pole close to the junction between the road from Haltham and the road from Roughton to Kirkby on Bain at around noon today. It flew off in the direction of Clement's farm.

Best Wishes
Derek
