Pacific Swift at Sea View.

Barry Clarkson just rang me to say he had a Pacific Swift at Sea View at 3:30 today, but no further sign by 4:25. (I'm in the Midlands so can't check it out).
Note, a Pacific Swift was seen at Spurn this morning which headed south (per RBA).

He called me too but also unavailable. However no sign since and he's checked the distant pics he took and says it's definitely Pacific

1 through at Spurn this morning at about half 9. Moving south slowly, If I wasn't busy I would have gone to the coast to get this bird moving south

have seen some poor copies from the back of Barrie's camera and it is clearly the same bird as photod on the Spurn Bird Obs web site --
as it spent all of yesterday, presumably on the Lincs coast, or thereabouts and appeared not to be moving rapidly south then there must be a chance that it will loop back north in this weather system; I was out until dark grilling 2000 Swifts at Barton pits last night, up from about 1500 in the morning, and there are a lot of Swifts around so worth checking any group seen -- it has history of passing south through Spurn twice in one year so a loop movement around the outer Humber may be grasping at straws but if you don't look you don't find

Ive been checking Swifts at msq for years wishing to find a alpine swift but Pacific,I guess thats pushing the boat out too far????

Good to here its the same bird photographed in Linc's.
We met a few out of county birders who had also headed to the Theddlethorpe coastal dunes following the news from Spurn.
One guy coming from Leeds, more in hope than expectation but as Graham says. "If you don't look, you don't find".
Surprised more Linc's birders didn't do likewise.

Just something random I picked up on and have noticed in the past. James post was made at 9:52 am. But the Pacific swift wasn't found until 10:40 am. Are the forum times wrong? Or is James just psychic?

I wish i was psychic Anthony, as i would be £100 million richer this morning!!

The time on here used to be an hour out but not sure if it still is. I was reading Twitter feed when it came up on RBN so i guess it was 1052 when i posted.

(It's 13:52 when writing this so you can see what time it shows when posted!)

You need to go to User Control Panel and then Board Preferences to change Time Zone + Summer Time.
