A very "dreich" week and slow going, but the usual suspects were in evidence:

Black-throated Diver - several pairs well out in the bay
Golden Eagle - very high
WT Eagle 2, one flew along the shore at low level about 100 metres off
Kestrel
Buzzard - plenty
Eider - lots of mainly juvenile
Red-breasted Merganser - several groups of female plus young, no male seen
GBB, LBB, BH and Common Gull plus occasional Kittiwake
Skylark - lots
Meadow Pipit - everywhere
Tree Pipit - several at Sandaig
Rock pipit - several pairs feeding young
Siskin, Goldfinch, Chaffinch - loads
Barwit 2
Ringed plover 4 pairs with young (hidden)
Common Sandpiper 4 with young (hidden)
Oystercatcher - lots
Shag - loads
Swallow, House Martin, Sand Marten - plenty, Sand Martin colony identified
Whinchat
Willow warbler
Chiffchaff
Wheatear
Bullfinch
Grey Heron - 10 flying around

Plus loads of Grey Seal and a couple of Pine Martin attracted by jam and peanuts!

David
