Very little graham waders flying around and around then flying off frustrating.
Redshanks will land on island but tonight some landed on water and had swim ?
Greenshank flew around then off.
About same count as last night.

I've seen 2 Redshanks swimming in the harbour in Scarborough. It was quite surreal

The Lincs coast still lacks a high quality wader habitat. Very old birders will well remember the summer of 76 when Huttoft dried out to pull in a fine collection of waders including l Yellowlegs, Temminck's, Pec etc . New scrapes seem to lack food but I saw today the IDB? Or local farmer deepening the ditch to the north of Huttoft pit so it may soon be drier!

I did visit Huttoft Pit this week and I'm always disappointed in the place, it could be so good with proper management. When the digger was doing the slubbing out last year? they had a chance to dig out some deeper channels for Bittern and create some islands and wader scrapes but it seems there is no imagination in the management.
I do most of my wader watching at Manby Flashes, when the conditions are right.
I was hoping that the Donna Nook Realignment Scheme wader scrapes would be good but there is still no sign of any water being let in. It's starting to get overgrown now.
RSPB Frampton Marsh is probably one of the best wader sites in the country, I visited it today and I quite enjoyed it.

In years gone by some strimming took place around the hide area which helped.
But nothing so far this year.
Tonight 60 Black tailed godwit circled pit for a few mins then flew southwards.
