Seawatching for two hours from high tide onwards this morning was better than yesterday both in terms of birds and visibility. Most birds were passing south and although I couldn't match the Theddlethorpe count, 540 Common Scoters was still a good total. Also seen were 10 Gannets, 56 Sandwich Terns, 4 Common Terns, 3 Arctic Terns, one Little Tern and 2 Little Gulls. Waders were 29 Dunlin, 81 Sanderlings, 47 Curlews, one Bar-tailed Godwit, 22 Knot and one Turnstone. A Peregrine also flew south along the tide-line.
