Similar pattern of observations to JW's for Theddlethorpe. The persistent wind and squally showers to longer spells of rain made assessing anything a bit difficult. Anyway - gist of the day was Redwings were the dominant thrush with many flocks of 50+ birds overhead giving a total of 1000+; Blackbirds up to 250; Song Thrush 30; Fieldfares 20 and Ring Ouzel 4. Increase in Robins, Chaffinches, Dunnock, Greenfinch and Goldcrest evident. Blackcap 5m and 1f, Willow Warbler 1.
One nearby rowan tree was absolutely red over with berries this morning...this afternoon nothing left!
