You are not the first person to question the system! Please bare with me, I will hopefully get something sorted for the weekend.
Regards. Andrew
As you know Andrew I'm one of the persons to question the system.
All new ideas/systems have teething probkems but I for one am very grateful to you for employing Twitter within the LBC website and I thank you Andrew for having the foresight to recognise the benefits of instant messaging for LBC members and the future of reporting bird news.
I carried and used a pager and a phone for over 2 decades until I switched toTwitter last year.
Now I only need carry my phone, which allows me to send and recieve bird news amongst many other things instantly.
Instant messaging (Twitter) has changed and enriched my birding experience.
I'm in charge of the information recieve with twitter. As It allows me to choose what information I want to recieve and even how much and when I recieve it.
Posting info to LBC forum is OK when sat in front If our PC's but Twitter VIA our telephone is the best system when out birding and In the field.
Twitter is the future of instant information. Hope we don't allow LBC to get left behind because people don't understand how it operates, don't want to make the effort to try it.
I'm no spring chicken folks and if I can use it. Anyone can & more importantly, everyone should.
