Following the much publicised destruction at Worlaby Carrs I have been watching the local area for dispersed short eared owls but yet to have any sightings. Two years ago was a bumper year with sightings across north lincolnshire. Does anyone have any info on whether many are being seen in lincs so far and if any areas local to the cars are getting records? I would like to ascertain whether the changes at Worlaby Carrs are causing the lack of sightings or whether it is a slow year in general so far due to mild weather etc.

A visit on a perfect day for owls the other day revealed nothing but a buzzard and three kestrels at this former short eared owl haunt.
