An interesting find for us yesterday was of a family of Chiffchaffs feeding in the garden.
An adult had taken two juveniles through the entrance of one of the fuchsia shelter houses.
The youngsters were parked up on a bracket and the adult was hunting for insects amongst a few hundred fuchsias. I could not get in without disturbing the birds so cut a hole in the net shading at the far end and poked the lens of my small video camera though so as to get some images - I have a repair job to do today!
No idea where the nest was, although a Chiffchaff had been calling nearby since early in the year.
Picture in album.
