Male Stonechat present still.

It only took 5 minutes of waiting for him to appear, at 15:05, in the same area as first seen, and observed until 16:00 when I left (and the rain started).

Regards,

Ben.

If anyone is interested, the Stonechat was seen on both occasions utilising the fence posts alongside the ditch, at the edge of the horse paddock and right next to the public footpath, SK9305962957. There is enough space to park at least one car at the entrance to the start of the footpath and is less than a 100yd walk (boots/wellingtons recommended though).

No problem Colin!

Couldn't find him this afternoon, probably not surprising, as when I was approaching from the other side of the Witham a family out for a walk were clambering right through the ditch and into the horse paddock, followed shortly after by a man on the path, shouting obscenities towards his lead-less dog, at the top of his lungs!

Regards,

Ben.

No doubt the same bird relocated nearby, today, at dusk.

Regards,

Ben.

Male Stonechat present still this afternoon, on the banks of the Witham, slightly to the East.

Regards,

Ben.

Stonechat present still. I thought he might have moved on as hasn't been seen on my last few visits. Was in the same area before dusk this evening.

Also nearby

Meadow Pipit 13
Yellowhammer 12+

Regards,

Ben.
