This afternoon I had 2 separate groups of Common Buzzards over my house at East Keal. The first was of 7 birds, 4 of which moved off fairly high northwards at c.2pm. Later, at 2.45pm I was walking around the hill, attempting to add to my Patchwork total, when I had a further 11 birds together. After much calling and interaction, 8 of these moved off high north. I reckon there are at least 4 resident pairs in the area, so I don't know if all of the ones which moved off north were all migrants or not. Anyone seen any numbers moving along the coast ?

Phil
