Flying visit after work, coinciding with high tide:-

Grassland/ Scrapes

Merlin x 1
Sparrowhawk x 1
Spotted Redshank x 4
Grey Plover x 1
Dunlin x 400+
Snipe x 4
Little Grebe x 8
Little Egret x 9 (no sign of Great White Egret this evening)
Whooper Swan x 7 (South Scrape)

Saltmarsh (with Ed Mackrill)

Short-eared Owl x 1
Barn Owl x 1
Hen Harrier x 1
Marsh Harrier x 1

38 whooper swan (wet grass land) mid afternoon. Then just before I left at about five they seemed to fly off to fields from whence they came (unless there destination was somewhat further north)
