Highlights from a mild and overcast morning:
Gooseman's Field
8 Snipe
Weelsby Woods
11 Chiffchaff
Nuthatch (nesting activity)
1 Woodcock (flushed)
Cemetery
c. 50 Redwing
c. 20 Fieldfare
4 Chiffchaff
Also Tawny Owl calling from direction of woods this evening (heard from home).
Redwing and Fieldfare numbers are highest noted since early March as both species have only been seen in groups of single figures from then. Possible outwards movement.
