A small, but welcome, arrival of 4 Spotted Flycatchers was apparent at the south end this morning. Other highlights were 8 Wheatears, 3 Yellow Wagtails, Garden Warbler, 6 Blackcaps, Turtle Dove, Hobby, Greenshank, 2 Whimbrel and 35 Ringed Plovers. Moving north were 61 Swallows, 11 House Martins, Sand Martin and 3 Swifts.

A Spotted Flycatcher was also at Pyes Hall during the afternoon
