Highlights;

A Wood Sandpiper from the 360 hide and two Turtle Doves from the Car Park.

Other highlights were; a Grey Plover, a good number of Ringed Plovers, a handful of Little Ringed Plovers, small groups of Black-tailed Godwits and Dunlin, a Pink-footed Goose, also a rogue Barnacle Goose.

Worth bearing in mind if visiting tomorrow (20.05.2015) that the shorter path to the 360 hide may well be closed, it was today. Per the contractors who were undertaking work.

Rick Bennett, Andy Sims and myself.

Regards,

Ben.

Seen today (20th) were an osprey over the scrapes at 8am (Jonathan Savory) and a black-necked grebe at the Witham Mouth (Dave Roberts).

Thanks Ben.

Yes the short path to the 360 hide is currently closed while contractors are working there installing something a little different, a sculpture called 'Reflector'! The path will be closed Thursday and possibly on Friday. You can still get to 360 and the other hides by walking the longer way around the reedbed (clockwise from the visitor centre/car park) or down to the sea bank and anti-clockwise along the sea bank.

On Saturday we have a big unveiling event of the sculpture from 11am -1pm which should feature our new MP, mayor of Boston, RSPB regional director and Look North TV. All welcome.

As I think has been mentioned elsewhere one of the two roads to Frampton is closed for the next four weeks. Don't follow the brown tourism signs to get to the reserve off the A16, instead go to the roundabout at Kirton (the first one south on leaving Boston or the first one heading towards Boston after the Sutterton A16/A17 roundabout, and take the turning to 'Frampton' - follow for about 3 miles and you'll end up at the reserve.

Spoonbill just been seen down by the sea bank now (Mick Paine).
