Interesting that just a drake is being reported from the Spurn area and Bewholme today.
The Yorkshire birders either consider that the female is a Eurasion Wigeon, or the two birds have split up
and only the male is being seen.
The only other possibility is that a second male is involved, although this would seem to be
unlikely.

Both drakes in Yorkshire are paired to female Eurasian birds.

It's all a bit confusing.
Yesterday morning RBA reported 2 American Wigeon at Spurn, 1 of which was a drake.

Today I do not think that there has been an occasion when the drake at Bewholme was being reported at the same time as the one at Spurn. I know you have good contacts north of the Humber so presumably you are sure that two males are definitely involved?

Experienced Lincs. birders are suggesting that the female at Saltfleetby yesterday was an American Wigeon.
