Worth giving the South Forty Foot a quick once-over; seen at least 1, and possibly 2 Kingfishers flying over the water. Also seen Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Grey Heron, Cormorant, Common Tern, Pochard and Goldeneye on the stretch between Chain Bridge and Hubberts Bridge. Occasional Yellow Wagtail on the banks either side. Sedge and Reed warbler can be present in the reeds on the other side of Chain Bridge. A plentiful supply of Woodpigeons has regularly attracted Sparrowhawk too.

Also Linnet, Kingfisher again and Little Owl along the North Forty Foot near the Princess Royal Sports Arena. Skylark, Blackcap, Robin, Reed Bunting, Song Thrush and usual tits, finches in Westgate Wood. Treecreeper, Jay, Long-tailed Tit, Greater Spotted and Green Woodpecker in Boston Cemetery.

Thanks for that Katherine,

Tried for Raven & Red Kite in good habitat with no luck (rewarded though with the ad. Med). Nuthatch, Kingfisher, Bullfinch and even Long-tailed Tit etc. proved surprisingly elusive given the sites visited!

Ben

Nice list guys very impressive!!

My personal record for Gib is 107.

I wonder what the record day list count is in Lincs?

Cheers,

Richard
