Took the opportunity, whilst in between jobs, to call in the Haven this evening and really glad I did.
I can't recall ever seeing so many birds on there. Being high tide helped but so did the low water.
Only downside was only having bins and no scope and so consequently wasn't able to ID everything I would have liked.
Species included -
Common Sandpiper - 1 Curlew - several Dunlin - 2 Blackwits - hundreds lapwing Little Egret -10+ Swallows - 20+ Greylag - 50+ BHGs - 100s Stock Dove
Great antidote to a crap time at the moment.
