Called in before work and well pleased that I did, even the rain failed to spoil things.
Wood Sandpiper - 1 (a much wanted lifer, which even spent a few minutes right in front of the hide) Knot - 1 Common Sandpiper -2 Dunlin - 4 Redshank Curlew - 2 Lapwing - 40+ Blackwits - 2000+ including at least 5 colour ringed birds Little Egret - 5 Grey Heron - 1 Teal - 20+ Shoveler - 1 Tufted Duck - 1 Sparrowhawk - 1 Snipe - 2
Was amazing to see 3000 birds suddenly disappear to leave less than 20 in a few minutes.
