An RL Buzzard flew across the road very low just in front of my car at 0930 this morning. Black and white tail band clearly visible. This is very close to Helpringham Fen where one resided last winter.

Sorry. Meant to say half way between Swaton and Thorpe Latimer. Worth checking Helpringham Fen too.
Happy Christmas!

Had a trawl round the area yesterday but only saw Common Buzzards.
I only spent an hour or so on my own and it's a big area so probably better with an all day job and several pair of eyes.

Cheers,

Oliver

Hi All,
I plan to visit the bakers in Thorpe Latimer again tomorrow morning, so will divert down Helpringham Fen for another look tomorrow. I seem to remember being told that last winter after disappearing from Helpringham Fen it was relocated on another nearby fen -I think Little Hale so I will have a drive down there too.
