Sometime bad weather does have a silver lining. Sat at home with nothing to do on a miserable not just from the weather point of view but also the result of a one sided cricket match when you spot something out of the window that brightens up the day. Today it was a single brambling for a few moments - add that to the half dozen lesser redpolls, four greenfinch and good numbers of goldfinch and the day hasn't been as bad as expected after seeing all that dark threatening cloud. And still a few hours of daylight to go also
