Sunday 31st January Baumber

Garden Birdwatch undertaken mid morning today during steady rain whilst listening to Andy Murray try to restle the Australian Tennis trophy unsuccessfully from Novac Djokovic.

Birds recorded:-

Collard Dove x1
Blackbird x3
Robin x1
Dunnock x1
Great Tit x3
Bluetit x3
Tree Sparrow x15
Greenfinch x6
Chaffinch x20
Brambling x1
Yellowhammer x1

I do one hour on Saturday and another hour on Sunday.

Maxima for each species are as follows:

House Sparrow - 20
Goldfinch - 15
Blue Tit - 2
Great Tit - 2
Blackbird - 7
Robin - 2
Dunnock - 2
Starling - 3
Woodpigeon - 1
Collared Dove - 2
Mallard - 2
Magpie - 1.

An hour watching early morning in Louth produced:
Collard Dove x2
Wood pigeon x 9
Feral pigeon x 2
Blackbird x11
Robin x1
Dunnock x1
Great Tit x1
Blue tit x1
Coal tit x 1
House Sparrow x 4
Greenfinch x 5
Chaffinch x 5
Goldfinch x 2

+ 2 peregrines over, but too high to count!
