Shortly before 11.30 this morning a Bittern flew low south along the wet grasslands, flushing everything in its path, and disappeared towards Nth Sea Camp. 20 minutes later as we reached the S end of the concrete road and turned along the path towards the outer sea wall, we again flushed the Bittern (unintentionally I should add!) and we watched it disappear low south across the sheep pasture towards the Nth Sea Camp buildings. Fresh in, or the Frampton bird taking a tour ? I guess it may have then dropped into the mini reed-bed near the Cut End hide, or straight on to Frampton. Also 3 WF Geese with the Canadas, huge numbers of Golden Plover (5000+?) and a good flock of Pintail (35+). Arriving back at the seaward end of the saline lagoon, a Spotted Redshank flew on to the saltmarsh
